What is reputation, how to give it and view your rep points and power

- Rep (short for reputation) is what each member can give each other. You can either give them a positive rep, or you can give them a negative rep.

- Only users who are upgraded from Sapphire Princess and Up can give rep to other users. Users who are not upgraded at all or if they are a Sequin Star will not be able to rep people.

- For every 1,000 posts you post you get added another rep point

HOW TO GIVE REPUTATION
1. Firstly, the button to reputation (or rep) any user is at the top of every post, here. It looks like a little balance scale.

2. Click on this button of a post you want to give rep to, this box will open up.

3. Click on I approve, to give positive rep, and I disapprove to give negative rep. You can also write a message to let the user know who has repped them, or leave it blank/anonymous. Click "Add to Reputation" when you're done.

4. A Box will pop up like this, when you've added to their rep.

HOW TO VIEW YOUR REP POINTS
To see how many rep points you have earned, go to your User CP at the top.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and you can see how many rep points you have received, whether they are positive/negative, and if the user has left you a message.

A green box on the left shows that someone has left you a positive rep, while a red box shows that someone has left you a negative rep. A gray box means that the person giving the rep is too new and that rep is neutral and does not count.

That amount is only the amount of reputation you have received from other people. It does not include the rep point you receive for every 1,000 posts.

- There is an option for you to either Show or Hide your reputation level. This can be found in your User CP under Edit Options.

REP POWER

- To see the total amount of reputation power you have, you can check your forum posts.

- Rep Power has no effect on getting people into trouble or helping them to become moderators. It's only based on if someone approves of your post, or maybe if they just want to show you that they appreciate you.

- Rep Power also goes towards your experience points.

Note: The "Like" option at the bottom of the posts is not connected to the Reputation system and does not affect Rep points or power.
