Default Classic games

"What's harder: gomoku, reversi, othello, backgammon, or Chinese checkers?"

"What's harder, ticket to ride or settlers of cantan?"

"is marbles or mancala more challenging?"

"What are some other games like chutes and ladders that gently teach you to deal with the ups and downs of life?"

"What's more complex- the game of life, or monopoly?"

these are the questions that have been prodding and parading around in my head lately. I took to reddit to see if I could find answers, to no avail

I find myself being EXTREMELY mentally understimulated, and it bugs me. I just want to take to the hardest classic games avail, grow my IQ, and never look back. Not to mention I think the internet is a toxic place and I'm trying to quit it, in favor of reverting back to classic methods of productivity and entertainment.

This thread is an open discussion about classic games

hmm, not sure about some of these

I think Ticket to Ride might be a little easier, Settlers of Catan seems more complicated. (I have played Ticket to Ride with other people but have only played Settlers of Catan on my tablet against computer players.)

Game of Life seems easier than Monopoly, less strategy.

If you want some mental stimulation, there are a lot of different types of puzzles. I have been playing on this site, https://www.conceptispuzzles.com/index.aspx. I didn't even make an account, there are some example puzzles and then one free puzzle of each type every week. Gets me working a puzzle out of my puzzle comfort zone. (I cannot figure out how to do all of them, but I try.) And I had this one on my tablet (when it was still working) https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...i.logicgamestk (Again, there are some I attempt but haven't figured out yet.)

Though you may prefer or do better with games where you are playing against another person. I seem to prefer solo games.

It can take some hunting, but we do have a couple of stores in our area where they sell and play games. You could see if there is one near you. Even if you do not want to play there, they may be able to answer your questions or suggest others you might like.

What about card games? Any one interested in any card games like bridge?

Awesome, thanks for the suggestions/links! And yeah haha, I heard that bridge is one of the most challenging card games out there, so that's definitely piped my interest as well. (Also, would you agree with that statement, or would you say bridge is more average?? I've never played)

Edit: OMG!!! And I'm SUUUUPER interested in the RPG 'Burning Wheel'
