Default Gay characters in kids movies..?

Hey guys, well as ya'll might know there was a gay character in the new Beauty and the beast movie, as well as in the new power rangers movie, and Nick has a cartoon show (Loud House) that has a gay couple as parents, and my question is, should there be gay characters in shows, movies, meant for kids? in my opinion, I think its a great way to teach our kids about equality, I think if they grow up, seeing gay couples, they won,t grow up so closed minded or get freaked out when they see gay couples in real life, is a great way to accept everyone equally..what do ya'll think?

Yes. There should be. Gay people are just people, and there's no reason that straight couple should be allowed and a gay couple should not be allowed. With the same restrictions applied to heterosexual couples, meaning no nudity or such, in the children shows, then I see no problems in displaying homosexual couples. Children don't see labels. They just see love. I see no problem with love.

Agree on the as long as their is no violence or sexual scenes except maybe a kiss between the couple than I see no problem with gay couples in kids shows... They are parents just like a heterosexual couple...

In fact I know a couple of gay men in real life... One I used to work with whom are parents to two teenage girls... And they raise them just like a normal couple only with two dads instead of a mother in their life... They have a grandmother... The mother of one of the men that they can go to with girly problems they do not want to discuss with their two dads... So it works out...

And both dads are devoted to those girls that sometimes the girls are really spoiled...
But they are wonderful well raised teenagers I am happy to see them whenever they are shopping with their dads...

Have you watched the Netflix series 13 reasons why?
In the series, the girl, Courtney, was raised by two gay parents, and it turns out she is gay herself, and in the series, she did NOT want to be gay because of what people would think about her being raised by gay parents, and it embarrassed her, and then it got me thinking, what if deep down, that's how most kids raised by gay parents think? Because, let's be honest, there are some cruel kids in this world, that would not hesitate to make fun or bully kids raised by gay parants

Since one of my high school classmates and also a couple of family members committed suicide I tend to stay away from shows or movies that have that word or are about suicide... So no I have not watched it or want too... Not because of the parents being gay in the show... Because suicide shows or movies bring back VERY BAD memories from the past I WANT TO FORGET!!! Also grew UP with a suicidal and depressed sister before she got help and medications that is another reason I do not watch shows like that...
