I'm a brogue-creeper-any kind of 'manly' shoes sort of person at the moment, I kinda just love any shoes that are chunky and as far from girly as possible

No flats. They'd kill my feet. I wore a flat sneaker, and had plantar fasciitis for three months after I stopped wearing them. Obviously that's different than the flats you speak of. Either way, I need something with a high arch. So my preference is a boot with a heel.
