I hate that... when it doesn't match the theme at all in any way possible. Why bother if you weren't going to put any effort in?

But sometimes (not often though) it happens the other way around, and they dress for GOC and like it so much they wear it for events.

This was me one day "Yeah, I got Second Place in Shop!" then I look at the TWO total shop entries from the day before "I got second place in shop, yeah...".

I have won when there were more than 3 entries before, keep trying. Though I don't try to force it. If I can't come up with something for the theme by the the entry deadline, I don't enter that day. It does take me awhile, I check all the upcoming so I have time to think about them (and google images and wiki are my friend when I don't know what a theme means...).

This happens wayy too often. I don't get it either. I honestly think that people only do it, so that at the end of the week on the guild activity sheet, it looks as if they tried. Although, they obviously didn't. ahha.

Yeah, way too many.

I am going to rant a little, you can call me picky if you want. I am not a huge fan of Star Trek, but I have probably seen most of the episodes of TOS (the original series), TNG (the next generation), DS9 (deep space 9), Voyager, and Enterprise as well as all 11 movies (I even knew there were 11 before I looked it up...). (And there is always Google.)

"Let the force be with you" ? again, Star Wars...

Orion slave girls were green, but were never even mentioned in TNG as far as I can tell...

Scotty and Spock did appear in TNG, but not together as they were in different episodes...

Uhura and Spock may have had a thing in the new canon, but ...

If it was just Star Trek in general, some of these would be okay (yeah, not the Star Wars ones), but it wasn't. It was specific to that series...

yeah I was thinking fire engines or train engines...could not find backgrounds for either of them! I looked them up every way I could in wizard and only got a box car and train tracks I really wish people would tag things!
