I'm a little bit sick of the way things have been running in my life for a while now. I've done some good things to change it, but I could still use more. Too often I find myself bored or simply wasting time on the computer doing things that will mean absolutely nothing tomorrow. That's why my motto for 2011 is Carpe Diem, or "Seize the Day" if you haven't been exposed to a decent film in your life....

Okay, so I don't know if I have used that many so far. Nor do I desire to ever keep track of how many tissues I've used. But I can tell you one thing that's definitely the truth: being sick sucks.

It's that feeling of weakness that pushes back at your shoulders when you try to get up in the morning. It's the way your voice cracks when you're in the middle of talking to someone, or when all of a sudden...

When you first meet my friend Annie, you either think she has been too close to paint recently, or that her parents dropped her more than once as a baby. In fact, she is a rather smart person, smart enough to throw a Christmas themed murder mystery party five days after Christmas. The idea was brilliant, the timing just slightly off.
